In this activity, students work individually as they journal about common concerns of surgical patients, pre- and postoperative tasks for minor surgery, performing a sterile scrub, and suture removal. A class discussion on these topics can follow.

In this project, students work in pairs to debate an ethical issue in health care. Students will do research, prepare positions statements and then debate the issue.
