Activity: Digital Citizenship Choices

In this activity, students will listen to scenarios and determine good and bad digital citizenship choices.


Phase 2: Learn & Practice

Unit 1: Digital Literacy

In this unit, students will learn about: the impact of technology on society and the workforce and exhibit decision-making skills and critical thinking in the ethical use of digital resources.

Phase 3: Reflect

Activity: Reflection Questions and Discussion

In this activity, students will journal about crediting resources, cyberbullying, digital footprint, and protecting one's self from online predators and scams. A class discussion can follow.


Phase 4: Reinforce

Activity: Resolving Issues

In this activity, students will review several scenarios and make recommendations to resolve digital citizenship-related issues. A class discussion can follow.

Project: Ethical Issues with Electronic Communications

In this project, students research, summarize, and share various perspectives and ramifications surrounding an ethical issue related to modern-day electronic communications. Specifically, students answer questions and create a presentation about their chosen ethical issue.

Project: Ethical Issues with Intellectual Property

In this project, students research, summarize, and share various perspectives and ramifications surrounding an ethical issue related to intellectual property rights. Specifically, students answer questions and create a presentation about their chosen issue.

 

Activity: Current Event

Students will review articles for information related to a topic in the module. Once an article is found, students complete a Current Event form.
