What Are the Benefits of eDynamic Learning?
eDynamic Learning has a multitude of benefits when it comes to implementing its curriculum in your classrooms. From comprehensive curriculum to interactive features, there is much to consider when deciding what curriculum best suits your students and educators.
Comprehensive CTE Curriculum
eDynamic Learning offers a comprehensive curriculum that allows students to find their passion, hone their skills, and engage in their education.
Additionally, the curriculum features multimedia content, including videos, contemporary graphics, and podcast narrations, so no matter your student's learning style, they can still succeed.
Interactive Features
Besides the curriculum, eDynamic Learning provides interactive features like flashcards and lab activities to increase active learning. Your students can also put their knowledge to the test with labs and activities developed using Bloom’s Taxonomy.
Each course unit contains a deck of flashcards that allows learners to review the key vocabulary terms and ideas found within each unit to check for understanding and prepare for assessments.
Additionally, lab activities are practical engagement and explorational opportunities that bring in a real-world context. Students apply what they’ve learned to create, develop, or produce a body of work, such as multimedia presentations, portfolio pieces, or essays to demonstrate knowledge.
In career courses, lab activities can include opportunities to explore career information and evaluate embedded soft skills to help students become aware of the skills they’ll need for the job and that recruiters are looking for.
Teacher Resources
eDynamic Learning also offers additional educator resources like a literary support tool bar, Learning Management Systems (LMS) integrations, and formative and summative assignments.
The built-in literacy support toolbar ensures that all students, regardless of a student’s educational background. It includes features such as text-to-speech, translations for English Language Learners (ELL), a built-in dictionary, a highlighter, and a screen mask option, that allows students who may be easily distracted or struggle with reading to focus on one line at a time.
eDynamic Learning also integrates with most LMS systems. However, they do not list which systems they integrate seamlessly with. If you do not currently have an LMS system, eDynamic Learning will provide one for you.
Additionally, every course includes formative and summative assessments where students have the opportunity to “test their knowledge” before quizzes and check their understanding of the content to guide them toward success. Courses also contain auto-graded unit quizzes, midterm exams, and final exams.
What are the Drawbacks of Edynamic Learning?
Like any resource you're considering for your CTE program, eDynamic Learning has some drawbacks to be aware of.
Fully Digital Activities
When utilizing a fully digital curriculum, it is imperative to have some in-class activities or projects to keep students engaged in their learning.
However, eDynamic Learning does not offer any in-class activities, as all of their projects, labs, and assessments are completed digitally. When using their curriculum, you will need to include additional resources to implement in-class activities.
Course Offerings
eDynamic Learning offers many CTE courses. However, the number of options varies depending on the subject area, and some pathways have fewer options than others.
For example, their Business Management & Administration subject area has over 30 available courses, while their manufacturing subject area only has one course. Therefore, eDynamic learning may not be the best solution if you are looking for a balanced CTE curriculum across multiple pathways.
Implementation
If you’re looking for a curriculum you can implement as soon as possible, eDynamic Learning might not be the best fit for you. To begin the process, you’ll need to reach out to a sales representative who will assess your school’s curriculum needs and give you a quote. From there, it could still take time to process your payment, set your educators up in the system, and add your students.
How Much Does the eDynamic Learning Curriculum Cost?
eDynamic Learning offers three licensing options: the enterprise license, the student virtual license, and the teacher license bundle.
The enterprise license allows students in your district access to the library list option you select for the school year. The scheduled fee is based on the total number of enrolled students at the campus/district.
The student virtual license allows schools to select a student seat option with access to the course library, or a student enrollment option where they can choose any single course from the full course catalog.
The teacher license bundle allows one teacher to receive a license to access and utilize course materials from up to three courses in the full course catalog. This teacher license gives educators the ability to utilize the course projects, lessons, and any of the curriculum to supplement their instruction.
However, eDynamic Learning doesn’t provide pricing information, so you’ll have to reach out to them directly to see how much each license will cost your district.
Is eDynamic Learning Right for You?
It can be a complicated process to determine which CTE curriculum is best for your educators and students. However, knowing what each provider offers, their benefits and drawbacks, and their costs, can help you determine the right option for you.
